Endowment Account
Gifts may be made to Methodist Nursing Home,
Inc., Endowment Account in honor or in memory of a person’s
lifetime or made by an individual in their last will and testament.
When the Methodist Nursing Home, Inc. is named as a beneficiary
of an estate or insurance policy, the proceeds will be placed in
the Endowment Account unless the donor has given the facility written
directions to the contrary.
The Endowment Account assists the facility with
expenses of operating, maintaining, and improving Methodist Nursing
Home, Inc., both now and in the future. Assets in the account are
part of asses of the home. The Board of Directors of the home will
determine how assets segregated in the account will be received,
held, managed, invested, disposed of and reinvested and will also
determine how principal and income in the account will be spent.
When a gift is made in honor of a person, in
memory of a person, or on some special occasion that the donor wants
to recognize an appropriate acknowledgment will be mailed to an
individual designated by the donor. The name of the donor or donors
and the purpose of the gift will be stated but the amount will not
be mentioned.
All contributions are deductible by the donor
for federal, state and inheritance tax purposes.
Methodist Village and Nursing Home also maintain and manage the
following charitable accounts.
• Bess Collier Memorial Fund –
Founded to help residents with day to day expenses they may be
unable to afford such as clothing, hair care or other incidentals.
• Methodist Village Memorial Account – Utilized by
the facility to purchase much needed supplies and equipment and
or to make improvements throughout the facility.
